  • “Designing Women: A Multimedia Show featuring First Street Gallery Working Artists”

    Opening reception, Friday, February 12 – 7-9pm 

    Cheryl Wencel, Lynne Roskein, Barbara Wroten, Beth Haizlip, Pat Livesay, Sally Douglas, Maureen Buik, Melinda Bradshaw and Jeannie Johnson represent the artists who work at First Street Gallery.  These very talented women’s artistic media ranges from jewelry, photography, fiber, painting, mosaics, silversmith to pottery.  In addition to the showing of their art work, Gallery owners Denise Wood, JoAnne Adams and the working artists have each decorated a special wooden box which will be on display and offered for silent auction to benefit “The Donna Foundation”, founded by Donna Deegan, caring for women living with breast cancer.  The silent auction runs through February 26 with all proceeds going to “The Donna Foundation”.  Meet the artists at the reception and enjoy music in the courtyard provided by Terry Whitehead and a few of his friends.

  • Dancin In The Street

  • 200 First Street sponsors the Kid Zone each year at Dancin In The Streets.  The area offers a $12 wristband for inflatable rides, putt putt golf, a Ferris wheel, games and snacks in an alcohol free area.  Local schools and clubs work this area and share in the proceeds of the day.  Last year, 200 First Street helped these organizations earn almost $5,000 total.

  • Costume Contest

  • This is a free family event for children of all ages. Make-your-own-crafts, games and refreshments provided. The Fletcher High School Interact Club volunteers to assist children in the crafts and games. Registration for the costume contest starts at 10:00 am in the Courtyard at 200 First Street. The costume parade begins at 200 First Street, on the sidewalk though Beaches Town Center with costume contest winners announced at 200 First Street following the parade. Prizes are awarded.
