Celebrating Motherhood at Deanne Dunlop Photography Studio
We're Celebrating Motherhood at Deanne Dunlop Photography Studio this year in a big way. Keep your eyes on our blog, Twitter and Facebook for events and activities all year long, even tips for making your own photographs better.
My heart is feeling incredibly tender toward mothers. You know that aching, gripping kind of tenderness? Perhaps it is the devastating loss of life in Haiti or God reminding me of the awesome opportunity and priceless gift I have to give when capturing our love and relationships as mothers.
If I were a writer their are so many beautiful stories I could tell, stories of families adopting babies, women who prayed to conceive giving birth to miracle babies, mothers of children serving in the military, mothers with daughters battling breast cancer. As a photographer I tell visual stories but I don't always get to share them. This year I'd love to capture and share beautiful visual stories with you. I'd love to tell your story.

The 3/50 Project

Pick 3. Spend 50. Save your local economy.
Think about which three independently owned stores you’d miss most if they were gone. Stop in, say hello, and pick a little something up. That’s how they stay around. If just half the employed U.S. population spent $50 each month in independently owned stores, their purchases would generate $42,629,700,000 in revenue.*
For every $100 spent in independently owned stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. In a national chain, only $43 stays here. Spend it online and nothing comes home.
The number of people it takes to start the trend...you.
