WAVES –
February 22 through April 2, 2012 – opening reception Friday, 2/24/2012 7-9pm
First Street Gallery artists, painter Beth Haizlip and Glass artist Kyle Goodwin collaborate their creative talents for this show. Their artistic interpretation of wave motions and sea life are heavily influenced by their love of both the ocean and art.
Beth has been an artist at First Street Gallery for over 5 years and has enjoyed many awards and accomplishments. She was chosen as the 2007 Jazz Festival Poster artist and is an active member of the Florida and Jacksonville Watercolor Society, The Art Guild of Orange Park and St. Augustine Art Association. She began painting at a very young age and graduated with a BA from Florida Southern College and has continued her artistic education taken classes and attending number workshops learning new techniques in watercolors, acrylics and oil painting.

If there is one thing Emilie Christenson (owner of Kyds and Jaffi’s) and Deanne Dunlop (owner of Deanne Dunlop Photography) appreciate,it’s helping customers create a lasting impression while staying true to their own personal style. That’s why they have decided to join forces at 200 First Street in Neptune Beach to share a hip, trendy studio space that will be the new home to Kyds (Jacksonville’s top toddler-to-tween boutique) and Deanne Dunlop’s esteemed photography studio.
“Mermaid Magic”
January 18 through February 20, 2012 – First Street Gallery artists along with regional and national artists create their own vision of magical mermaids for this group show. On display will be mermaid art work in all media – painting, photography, clay, glass, metal and jewelry.

First Street Gallery 12th Annual Handcrafted Ornament Show

“Local, regional and national artists will be showcasing their wonderful and enchanting Christmas ornaments, Holiday art work and jewelry. Included are Cheryl Wencel’s cypress knee and paper-mache Santas, JoAnne Adam’s holiday adorned, hand painted palm tree ceramics and the gorgeous lampwork blown ornaments from Lucid Visions. Children's book authors Nancy Murray and Barbara Spurlin will be part of First Street Gallery's visiting author program in the Courtyard at 200 First Street on Saturday, November 5th from 10am until 2pm. Both authors will have a story telling event for the children.
Beaches Town Center Costume Contest and Parade
Saturday, October 22 10 am to 1 pm
This is a free family event for children of all ages. Make-your-own-crafts, games and refreshments provided. The Fletcher High School Interact Club will be volunteering to assist children in the crafts and games. Registration for the costume contest starts on First Street, between Lemon and Orange, outside of Lillie’s Coffee Bar. The costume parade will walk on the sidewalk though Beaches Town Center with costume contest winners announced following the parade. Prizes will be awarded. Trick or Treat in all of the participating shops and restaurants in Beaches Town Center during and after the parade.
Its a beautiful weather day for music in the courtyard!!! Tonight: LAUREN FINCHAM, who began in music as a member of several regional alt-folk bands such as The Savants, The Soul Guardians, Selling Your Relatives, and shared the stage with such diverse notables as Gamble Rogers, Christine Kane, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Caroline Aiken, John & Mary (formerly of 10,000 Maniacs,) John Mayer, and India Arie. And she's HERE in OUR courtyard tonight!
